As part of the Faculty of Science and Technology, the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, is ambitious in its scope, encompassing a wide range of disciplines from biomedical science to environmental management. These two fields are at the ends of a continuum which has at its central point the biology of living organisms.

The school is aiming to be Australia's best school of life and environment, known for outstanding teaching and research at the cutting edge of the interface between the physical, biological and environmental sciences.
